Life story of Frida Kahlo, told by herself! 
 
The Colors of Frida / Los Colores de Frida is a bilingual, one-woman show about the great Mexican painter Frida Kahlo, which combines storytelling, music, visual arts, puppets and audience participation. Ages 6 and up.

Silleta Flower Making Workshop

Silleteros from Antioquia, Colombia will hold a workshop for people of all ages. These floral artisans will teach participants how to create smaller replicas of artistic floral Silletas, which the artisans carry on their backs during the Flower Parade in Jackson Heights on Sunday, July 8th.
 
Live Drawing with Models
MON, JULY 9, 6-9 PM 
 
Draw from a live nude model. Bring your sketch pad with your favorite drawing medium. Each artist will have the opportunity to hone their skills with a series of quick and long poses while listening to music in a relaxing non-judgemental environment.
 
Monthly Jazz Jam

Celebrating the legacy of Louis Armstrong! Monthly Jazz Jams are a fun way to hone your skills and jam with your peers. The house band is led by saxophonist Carol Sudhalter. All are welcome, regardless of instrument (vocalists, too!). Don't play? Come listen!

Full Moon Drumming: PERU!

Celebrate the Full Moon with a drum circle in Flushing Town Hall's garden with master drummers from Perú. Begin with a workshop led by percussionist Hector Morales who will demonstrate various Afro-Peruvian rhythms on cajon (box drum), cajita and quijade, then jam with the entire group.
 
Young Dancemakers Company

Directed by Alice Teirstein, 17 young dancers of the Young Dancemakers Company will present a concert of new, lively, and original choreography, based on meaningful personal and social themes, and perform an excerpt by renowned choreographer Jane Comfort.

A workshop performance of Huang Ruo's The Sonic Great
Wall. In this immersive performance, audience members and
musicians form a wall of sound evoking the Great Wall of
China. The performance will conclude with a conversation on
